Active Families Fundraising.......
Dundee dads and kids have rediscovered their love of cycling thanks to Active Families, one of the programmes funded through Hearty Lives Dundee.
Over the past year, unwanted bikes donated to Active Families have been refurbished and distributed to the group, who call themselves Family Guys.
And to say thanks for helping get them active and heart healthy, Family Guys decided they would get sponsored to bike from Land’s End to John O’Groats – at the city’s outdoors velodrome.
Around 25 dads, plus their kids, completed the challenge to cover around 900 miles and 3,500 laps in just over 12 hours. They were delighted to raise £777 for British Heart Foundation (BHF) Scotland.
